Abortion Laws in Montenegro

MONTENEGRO. Law on the conditions and procedures for abortion, 1979.

This allows abortions to be performed on request during the first ten weeks of pregnancy. After this point abortions may be performed if the pregnancy threatens the life or health of the pregnant woman, if the pregnancy is the result of a crime, and on eugenic and social grounds. An abortion at this point in pregnancy must be approved by a commission.
