Paragraph 56: Decisions on Matters of Motherhood.
To become a mother is a matter of women and lies on their own decision. Within the first 3 months of a pregnancy by women’s request, or when it is necessary due to illnesses without consideration of the term of pregnancy, abortion is performed by physicians under hospital conditions. The list of illnesses [justifying] termination of pregnancy is approved by the Ministry of Health, MPR.
