Pills by Post 4. After the abortion
When you have taken the early medical abortion treatment, you must do your self-assessment to ensure that your treatment has worked. There are a few things to remember. You must have a response within 24 hours.
If you’ve had no pain and no bleeding, you should contact us. You should have a minimum of four days of bleeding, although most ladies will have more, maybe 10 to 14 days.
The third part of your self-assessment is that pregnancy symptoms should start to disappear by the end of seven days. You shouldn’t feel pregnant anymore at 21 days. So three weeks after your treatment, you should use the pregnancy test. This is specifically for after termination, not one you would buy in the shop.
When you open the box, this is what you’ll find the first urine sample of the morning, collecting a small cup. Take the lid off and dip this end into the urine for five to 10 seconds. Pop the top back on and leave that for five to ten minutes. If your test at this point is negative, you can be reassured that your treatment has worked. If your test is faulty or shows a faint positive, you need to get in touch with us. This information is included in the treatment guide that we looked at before.
